Of a year. There you go. There you go. But. So let’s start, Joe, with electional astrology in general, because there’s probably some people out there that don’t really understand or know what it is. And, and why we would use it.

Yeah. It’s always fascinating talking about electional astrology, because I always sounds like it’s about elections. At least that’s how I thought about it at first. But the way that I like to think about it is that it’s using astrology not to see what the astrology is doing to us, but more so what we can do with the astrology.

So we always have this argument of fate versus free will and astrology, and I think that electional astrology fits it into that, conversation really neatly, because election astrology is essentially like the free will portion of astrology where you, so you’re casting charts to figure out what the best time to do something is or even what is available within, a given time, what’s not available.

So you can maybe avoid doing certain things at certain times, or push it back a little later into the year for when the timing is more appropriate. So it’s kind of just like looking at the weather and thinking about how you can prepare yourself for that weather. If it’s it’s really sunny out, maybe you want to go out for barbecue and it’s a great day for barbecue, but if it’s raining, maybe it’s a good day to stay home and maybe clean up a little bit.

Electional astrology kind of does that. It gives you the astrological weather and tells you what you can do with it.

I love that, Jodi. I love that you brought in the fate in the freewill piece. It reminds me of this basically the electional astrology giving us the music and then were deciding how we want to dance with it, you know like here’s an intense part, here’s a slow part, here’s a really fast paced part. How do you want to actually dance with those energies?

And I love that you brought in the freewill versus fate, because that is a huge question. People have all the time. Like, is it just like, do we have any choice in this? Are we participating or is it just completely already written?

Yeah, and I think there is a little bit of the script, but it’s kind of like, it’s like jazz. I’m a jazz musician, so I’ll always go back there because you have like the chords that you’re supposed to play. There’s the chords that make up the song, but then the notes that you’re improvising on top of, they’re totally up to you.

And I feel like the electoral astrology or those the election astrology of those notes that you’re kind of just jazzing it up.

I’m awesome. Okay, so we’re going to get a sneak peek into the report, because Joe is going to actually tell us about a couple of distinct times during 2025 that we will want to pay attention to. But before we do that, Joe, can you just give us an overarching, energetic imprint of 2025 from an electional astrology point of view?

Yeah. I think the biggest thing that I was thinking about when I was preparing for the report is just looking how there’s a lot of weight that’s being shifted out of the mutable signs. And mutable signs in astrology are in electional astrology, rather, or anything that we need to do that require steps like mutable signs are also called the double bodied signs.

So it’s like things that need like step one and step two or things are transitory. So whereas in 2024, this idea of transitions or moving from one place to the next kind of just felt slow and sluggish in 2025, it’s all about those transitions. It’s all about like heading into, 2026 really, which is when a lot of the big world stuff is going to happen.

So in 2025, it’s kind of like this in-between world sort of state. But we do have a lot of, great opportunities in the cardinal signs, which are more or, or initiating signs to, kick off some of these transitions. I feel like 2025 is really the the year to set some plans in motion, but with this idea of like of transportation in mind, of wanting to get from point A to point B and point A, it’s 2024 point B is 2026, and 2025 is kind of like that bridge that connects both of them together.

That’s really helpful. So 2025 being a year that we continued to invest and move towards the things that we’re wanting to create or produce or the directions that we’re wanting to go, but not necessarily expecting them to come to fruition or like them to.

Blossom or bloom in 2025. But that we’re like tilling the soil and we’re the seeds seem like they’ve already been planted, though, right? The seeds have been.

Planted, yes, before. Okay. 24 I think was like the seeding place and then 2025 where we’re watering those seeds, actually thinking about Jupiter in cancer, which is Jupiter and a water sign, the planet of expansion, abundance and all those things kind of like raining it down on all those things. So that’s kind of how I’m seeing 2025, for the most part.

But one thing that, I think is also important to mention with 2025 is that despite it being like this this year, that has a lot of opportunity. It is kind of this because it’s this transitory year is going to ask us to make very intelligent decisions on the things that are getting started, because once you kind of get started on those, they kind of will just take a life of their own and keep moving.

So I think that the beginning of the year kind of asks this big question of like, what it is that you’re that you want to start or what is this? What is it that you started in 2024 that will continue to to, to take life in 2025? But we’re not necessarily kind of like lending in there yet.

We’re just it’s almost kind of like we’re getting on a train, but the train is kind of like an express train, so it’s not going to make any stops. And so you just have to make sure that you’re picking the right train that you’re getting on. And then we all have arrived there in 2026, if that makes any sense.

Oh, totally. Joe, I was thinking about the the metaphor of a airplane, like when I was getting ready for the 2025 forecast event, I was thinking like, it’s basically like, were these pilots in these planes and were having to really adjust all the dials, the GPS, the altitude, you know, all these things to make sure that we’re going to get to the destination.

We actually want to go to here, really. Like there’s there’s discernment that’s needed. And, and I feel that the astrology can help us with that. Like understanding the, the, the weather forecast can help us be discerning about the types of decisions that we’re making and the direction we’re going. But it sounds to me like what you’re saying is just to really check in and make sure that the things that you’re watering are the things you actually want to grow.

Yeah. I think especially summer this year is really where I’m looking at it to be. This like the point where the seedlings really start to like take life and we’re able to see it. So yeah, there’s a lot to look forward this year.

Yeah, I think the biggest one, because whenever I’m thinking about elections and, throughout the year, what we’re kind of trying to find when planets will be strongest and when planets will be weakest. So we can kind of map that, that out. And 2025 has a very peculiar thing going on because for, for 2024 and a little bit of 2023, the sun kind of has been unavailable as this sort of electional thing that we can use.

And the sun is all about power. It’s all about leadership and kind of, like rising to the occasion and being visible. It’s about advertisement and all of those things. And so 2023, 2024, that was a spot where, like broadcasting yourself and putting yourself out into the world, either came with a lot of weight or it was just really hard to do that.

2025 kind of closes that chapter a little bit and, March because, March 20th to April 19th, the sun will be an Aries, which is where the sun is exalted. But we still have the last eclipse that’s happening in Aries there. So I even remember in the report I call this the The Window of Time. It’s, show off, but not too much window of time because it’s like it’s the sun in Aries.

It’s exalted. But then we have the eclipse and Mercury and Venus retrograde all happening at the same time. So I think that it’s this, this beginning of the spring, and heading into the summer, that’s kind of a hot spot where you really want to pay attention to, like those, those seeds that the wrong seeds that we may or may not water sort of thing because we’re thinking about the sun and the sun is all about visibility.

It’s that that window of time is one that you’re likely to be very visible. But then in that we also want to make sure that we’re showing the best version of ourselves, I guess in that light, because that’s really the image that kind of will stick for the rest of the year. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that maybe the spring is not necessarily the best time to be launching new things and to be, like, super flashy and super showy, but it might be a good time to to be like the the leader in the background to where you’re just orchestrating everything.

You’re putting everybody in their place and giving everybody their tasks. So you’re kind of being this solar managerial person, but you’re not you’re you’re not showing yourself out into the limelight, if that makes any sense.

Well the sun, well, there’s two windows of time typically where the sun is really strong and it’s usually spring and summer, which totally makes sense. The other one would be in the summertime when the sun is in Leo. That’s kind of like the second opportunity that we get to work with the sun and solar thing. So this idea of advertise and broadcasting yourself, and that is from July 20th 3rd to August 22nd.

And the the good thing about that is also overlaps with that window of time that I talked about with Jupiter and Cancer, kind of like raining the water down. So not only do you have like the sunlight on you kind of really helping your, your message and your, and you yourself be seen by everybody who you want to be seen by.

Jupiter is also like raining down all this abundance and this good stuff to actually nurture that image and not be so, which is a great contrast to to the spring, where we’re trying to be a little bit more careful about how we’re, broadcasting ourselves, if that makes sense.

It does, Joe. But this isn’t, is it? It’s not. Every time the sun’s in Aries or the sun’s in Leo. Right. Because you said you said 2023 and 2024 were, like, harder for broadcasting yourself in general. Right? So is it specific to this year that these solar periods are more ideal for broadcasting yourself with the nuance you already just gave us about the spring in mind?

The rule of thumb is that generally, whenever the sun is an Aries or Leo, even Sagittarius. Actually, to a certain extent the sun will be doing good. The problem is that in Sagittarius for the past year, the sun was square to Saturn. So yes, you still have all of that energy to go forth and spread your message, but then you’re meeting these roadblocks every time you try to do so.

And then in Aries, the sun has been dealing with the eclipses. So every time that we, try to turn on the spotlight on our, on us, the eclipses come and shut them off, and we have to kind of like, navigate through the darkness and try to figure out how to, show ourselves again. And then in Leo, for the past little while has been the only really only good window that we can work with the sun.

But then, of course, and Leo, just recently we had the Mars retrograde in Leo, and all that kind of stuff. That kind of makes Leo a little bit of a hotter spot. As far as, like, the transits go. So in 2025, a lot of these major, they’re planetary cycles. They’re kind of like overlaid into these, these spots are shifting away.

So the sun really just gets to to be really bright in Sagittarius. And, really steady in Leo. And then Aries is a little complicated still this year. But then in 2026, we’ll be totally done with the eclipses, and the sun is ready to be, asked for things again.

Okay. Interesting. All right. Tell us the kinds of things that you can actually tell with electional astrology. So you just you gave something very specific like times to broadcast your message, times to shine as an individual. What other kinds of things can we see via electional astrology.

Yeah, that’s that’s an interesting question because it’s basically anything like if you read, ancient books, they have elections for when to cut your nails, when to put your clothes on for the first time that you just buy. I went to cut your hair. There’s all these sorts of things that you can use electional astrology for, but I, I like to, to focus more so on the, on this idea of giving the birth chart to something that you really want to, to take life in a way.

So I, I tend to reserve electional astrology more. So for those, those really big things that we want to do. And then every, all the small things can, can it’s just kind of good to be aware when it’s a good or bad time to do that. So things like when should I get married? Which is a thing that I get very often with my clients, or when should I launch my business or when should I apply for this job?

Or when should I go back to school? All these sorts of things, election astrology is really good for because we’re kind of picking the birth chart that we want to give to not a person, but to a thing. And once we willingly give it that birth chart, we we’re we’re kind of giving it the direction that we want as opposed to just kind of like letting fate do its thing and kind of things just fall into place, which sometimes really works.

Sometimes if you just like let things flow, they will just flow into the right direction. But then other times you might want to be a little bit more cautious to make sure that like that really is the moment that you want to to take in. More often than not, I find that clients kind of just intuit that they just know, like, I want to get married this year, but I wasn’t sure.

And then they gave me the date that they were thinking, it’s like the best date in the year to go, right, you know, so yeah. Does that answer their question?

Yes, yes. So you said getting married, when to go back to school, when to move. Like. So you don’t like to micromanage life with electional astrology is what I’m hearing. And you don’t really encourage people to do that. It’s more more those big moves that you want to make sure have a good start.

Yeah. And on the micromanaging thing, I think that there’s that’s that’s definitely true. I don’t I don’t recommend micromanaging because sometimes we can get into the Spears zone where we’re like, well, I’m not going to do this just because the astrology isn’t right. And that’s just not a good place to be. But on on just the idea of awareness, of just knowing, like, hey, Mercury will be in Gemini, which is Mercury’s really strong sign.

This might be a good time to maybe start reading that book that you said you’re going to read and you didn’t read. That’s a small thing that you won’t necessarily elect the best time for. And that’s why in the report to have these windows of time or it’s just like from this day to this day, Mercury is really strong.

So maybe you want to study, maybe you want to, clear up your to do list, or maybe you want to organize and do all these things so you can both take a very zoomed in approach to election astrologically. Or you can also take this looser approach where you’re just kind of trying to try to fit the things that you’re already doing, your day to day life with the things that astrology is really supporting at the moment.

Oh yeah. I love that so much. And it’s just like I, you know, Joe, I always used the surfing analogy. It’s like knowing what kind of waves are going to be happening at certain times. So you have the right surfboard. So you time it correctly, you can catch the swell and you can catch the waves and so having this I like I definitely love what you’re talking about in terms of using it almost thematically, like this time of year is perfect for these kinds of activities.

And so if you know that you love to clear the clutter in your house, for example, why not use the window of 2 to 3 weeks or whatever it is to prioritize that? Because these are the kinds of things that we can also put on the backburner and just never do. Having the astrology to help us organize and create a structure around the things that we need to do, can help you make sure that you’re covering all your bases, that you’re doing it when you have the wind in your sales and you’re not trying to, like, push a boulder up a hill all the time.

Totally. Yeah, I almost feel it feels like being at the right place at the right time. Are you just like, figuring out what the right place is and what the right time is?

Yeah, I use them mostly for like my big business moves and like, launching my business was, one of the things that I looked at for, my trip across, Canada to the US, because now I live in the US has also been something that I elected first. And. Yeah. And for, for clients, it’s mostly marriages.

More business stuff like signing contracts is a big one to and even, if I want to start, if I want to start something, if I want to, let’s say I just decided that I want to learn how to play the violin. This would be something that I would elect just to make sure that I’m using something that says that I will actually continue to do that.

It’s not just a time that says, oh, you’re really interested in the violin. It’s a versus a time that says, if you pick up the violin right now, you’re probably going to practice for a couple of years. Does that make sense? I feel like that. But those are a few of the ways that we can think about it.

Joe, how hard is it to learn how to do this? Like, how long has it taken you to really hone this craft to the point where you feel comfortable electing important dates for people? How much did you have to dedicate to your learning to get where you’re at today?

Yeah. Well, it can be pretty simple and pretty hard at the same time. I, I guess it can be as hard as you. You want to make it. Like, if you’re only using it for yourself on a day to day personal use, it can be pretty simple. But if you. Because even the idea that we have about setting intentions on the new moon and, letting things go on the full moon, that’s a type of electional astrology.

We just know that this is a good time to do that, and this is a good time to do that other thing. But it can also be super complicated to the point where you’re not using electional astrology just to say, hey, like, this is a good time to do this, but also to predict the course that that thing will take over time.

So I think that is a little bit more difficult. And it requires a lot of trial and error, because you, you will when you, learning electional astrology, I think it’s, it’s really good to start electing for these tiny little things and seeing how they pan out, because then that’s that’s really when you learn, when you have elected the time and you did the thing and then you like kept track of and how it panned out, because then you can go back to the chart and see the things that played out in the chart as well.

So yeah, I guess it can be as simple as just learning the flow of time and as complicated as starting to tune or just observe the flow of time, but to start to predict where it’s going to land as well.

Yeah, it was so much fun because I actually co-wrote it with my, channel partner Kyle Pierce, who was also an astrologer, and we kind of took, we, he took he took the, odd months, and I took the even months. And that was really fun because afterwards we got together when compared notes. And yeah, it was just this exciting thing for me to just notice how many windows of opportunity 2025 actually has, because 2024 felt a little scars because of the eclipses and all those other things.

Just a lot of the stuff happening at the same time. And then I was preparing for 2024. I’m like, whoa. Like once we get past the winter and we head into spring and it just, it just goes up and up and up and up from there. So that was that was really exciting to see, especially, the whole Jupiter in cancer thing, because Jupiter in cancer is a transit that starts in 2025, goes all the way to 2026.

So we have so it’s just really exciting to see that we have that available, especially when we turn on the news and all we see is like the bad stuff that’s happening. And to see the astrology be like, hey, actually, there’s a lot that can be done this year if you know where to look. So that was really exciting to me.

And who’s it for? Like when you think of when you’re writing the report and you’re thinking of the, the person that you’re writing it for, who, who’s the perfect person for this kind of report?

Yeah, I think it’s a person that likes a good calendar or just me. I just love getting all these dates and and putting on my calendar. And then after I have it, I can start to plan my year especially, right now because everybody’s setting, New Year’s intentions and, goals and all of that. It’s good to if you’re a very goal oriented person, to compare and contrast what what is actually available in the year with the things that you actually want to do and start to time it, because I feel like it almost gives you a bit of, like a cosmic dude that you just know that by this time you you

And and you brought this up earlier that electional astrology and some of these more kind of predictive tools that we have enable us to get confident in our intuition, because I completely agree with you that we know we’re we’re inherently guided towards the right times to do certain things, but we override it for whatever reason.

We don’t listen. And we, you know, we think we know better, you know, all the things. But this can be a way that you just actually trust your intuition and then confirm it with the astrology. It’s like, wait, no, I was already feeling that and that that helps you get more and more confident in your intuitive knowing. So eventually, maybe you don’t even need reports and things like that.

Or maybe you just get to use them and hold them really lightly. But you, you know, can really trust that internal guidance, that compass. Yeah.
